Canoe trips including a passage under the Château de Chenonceau (booking required) :
OR
Welcome to all of you !
Thanks to our staff and our state-certified canoeing and kayaking instructor (BPJEPS), we're one of the most competent structures around the Cher.
We can offer you personalised trips of 1 hour and a half, 2 hours or half a day on the Cher (river), as far as the Château de Chenonceau.
" Magnificent scenery, silence, a relaxing atmosphere... ! "
We welcome families, groups of friends, clubs, associations, works councils, schools, holiday camps, etc.
You can go canoeing on the wild Cher, a very well-preserved site where you can see herons, beavers and kingfishers! You can also take a tour beneath the magnificent château of Chenonceau.
We have hire points in Chisseaux (next to the Château de Chenonceau), Chissay-en-Touraine and Montrichard.
A briefing (with technical and general advice and the rules) and debriefing are included.
We are an FFCK club, specialising in this sport! Our association is very involved in the regional and departmental committees of the Ministry of Sports.
With over 35 years' experience, we offer introductory courses in slalom kayaking, vital forme kayaking and freestyle.
We also have a social role to play, welcoming all age groups, young people in difficulty and the disabled, with adapted prices and made-to-measure support.
As fervent eco-educators, we have been involved for many years in protecting the environment and the ecosystem, flora and fauna. The Cher, Sauldre and Loire rivers are fragile places that need to be protected.
We are involved in a river monitoring system and in informing the public. We promote the cleaning of rivers and riverbanks (in partnership with ONEMA and Surfriders, SOLOGNE NATURE ENVIRONNEMENT, DDT 41, MICROMAM).

To steer in a linear fashion (going straight ahead), you need to know how to turn your boat (when the canoe is heading to the right, simply paddle to the left).
When you paddle to one side, the boat goes to the opposite side.
The canoe does not naturally have a linear trajectory (due to friction with the water, air, currents, the weight and inclination of the paddlers, etc.): it must therefore be influenced.
Primary manoeuvres :
In a duo, the two crew members act on the canoe's trajectory. It is therefore necessary to coordinate, communicate and be aligned with the desired direction: synchronisation of rhythm, observation, exchanges.
The team member at the back of the canoe can play the role of direction setter by using his paddle like a rudder.
Continuously adapt the number, laterality and intensity of your movements.
